EM-a stands for Effective Microorganisms (activated), which together form a probiotic community.
Effective Microorganism Activators (EM-a) are the natural alternative to chemicals or pesticides. A large number of different microbes (yeasts, lactic acid and photosynthetic bacteria) live in symbiosis in EM-active.
The applications for EM-active are extremely diverse: barn, garden, household, agriculture, animal husbandry…
We have been using EM-active in our lives for over 15 years. It is a particular game changer in animal husbandry. Urine (ammonia) is bound in the stable, which is very pleasing. The stable climate is positively neutralised. Owners of large animals in particular should familiarise themselves with EM-active.
Advantages of EM-active:
- Strengthen soil life and plant health with EM-active
- Organic soil additive for gardening and agriculture
- Bound nutrients in the soil are released for plants
- Absolutely harmless for all living organisms & the environment
- Binds odours, prevents rot & mould
The most important thing when storing EM-a is to avoid contact with air as far as possible. If EM-a comes into contact with a little air, white yeast flakes may form. This is fine as long as the odour and appearance are otherwise good. EM-a should be stored in a dark place at a constant temperature (0 to 30 °C)
